Systems Engineer

Danbury Mission Technologies, LLC

August 2020 - Present

  • Working under government contract to produce low-cost medium-resolution electro-optical reconnaissance satellite

  • Led cross-functional verification effort of on-board gimbal pointing and back-scanning models by creating targeted collection scenarios in STK and processing as-run Payload Software telemetry STK to ensure requirements are met

  • Used Python Integration and STK GUI to develop STK scenarios to study mission features (e.g., solar exclusion, star tracker FOV), analyze mission and constellation performance, and create marketing videos

  • Processed and analyzed gimbal mechanism test data in Matlab to characterize range, resolution, settling time, etc.

  • Developed verification scripts in Python to certify Electrical Ground System Equipment for payload testing

  • Developed requirements for focal plane alignment software used to verify final alignment of camera

Mechanical Engineering Intern

Liberty Star Management

June 2017 - August 2017

  • Worked as part of development team for new building project on the Lower East Side of Manhattan

  • Researched eight options for heating, cooling, and hot water systems for new building and conducted cost-benefit analyses; the team selected PTAC units and individual hot water heaters based on my proposal

  • Created six CAD models of the new building’s floors from start to finish in order to solve mechanical problems and maximize space efficiency

  • Presented CAD designs to architects and engineers at weekly meetings to propose solutions to construction challenges; decisions regarding layout and placement of hot water heaters were made based on presentations
